The Wonderland Dream of Death Chapter 1 Amoebas live for two days but are immortal. When an amoeba gets ready to die she splits into twin sisters each of which is the same as her mother. The amoeba who lives for two days is also immortal, not a contradiction. The sisters are their mother but they are not. The mother no longer plies the waters. Mother is her whole family for every generation, years divided into two days. Her offspring steal her life. She trades death for immortality. Chapter 2 With amoebas it's reversed. The soul dies and the flesh is immortal. . These are bits of who we are, the fundamentals of the Earth. . Creatures of the air space the passage of flesh between now and tomorrow.
