Chicken Fricassee and Concrete

Milky foamy afternoon
two sleepy dawns
the walls of a pram
a voice, was it?
A street, scabbed knees.
Not wearing long pants
maybe dresses; but running.
Not keeping mouth open, close it!
Chicken fricassee and concrete.
Fields of wheat with
angry farmers.
The smell of pencils.
Hands and dance.
Cold moving away.
The United States.
The World.
The United States.
The state. The neighorhood.
With every passing day
one setting sun and night.
The house.
The room.
The bed.
The closed eyes.

Scribble

My legs are my doodle pen.
The earth is my paper.
The dream is my doodle
masterpiece,  composed in
the sands of the night,
brushed away
by the light.

Three-Dee

It was a theater of mistakes,
the night that made me cry.
I dreamed embarrassing dreams,
and when I awoke to
escape them, I met
embarrassing memories.
I heard what they said
and figured out why
they called me what they did.
The past was
so inaccessible.
I couldn't reach out for it.
Cried, gently,
quiet solitary night-time
tears, mentally clenching
fists. Yesterday I learned
I was getting smaller.

Advice to the Broad Minded

Kind people,
you levelers
of the earth, don't
round the corners, don't
flatten the dynamic
range of the world.
Don't make acceptable
what is naughty.
It is the source
of pleasure in dreams.
.
An optimist
because I will always
have pleasant dreams.
that discharge
the twistiest wishes,
animate the sanctuary
in the protoplastic place,
I will carry,
privately,
into death.
