Hope is good. Hope sells tickets. The best selling operas offer hope just before death. It's a heart twister and the audience eats it up. It takes them while they're young when hope has the biggest draw then plays on early demise the audience gets to watch hope fading in those lovely eyes, delcious. All they want is a time and place, a calm, a breath, a sigh together with a reliable love. It's just a humble wish but you have to be young to wish it.
