An Evolutionary Quirk

Evolution has its quirks. There are actions that generate health that we can't carry-out by ourselves. I wonder why the perfection of the species would allow that. My cohabitant, Ms Cat would benefit from a good purr now and then, but she can't do it alone. She needs me. I wonder why love is so important. Darwin never says.
