Big Heavy Things

These things of steel
bits of rusting
around the edges,
they have been around a few years.

Those are serious,
dangerous, not for boys,
not playthings,
for dreamers.
.
These people are
full-sized grownups with families on their minds,
Serious thoughts.
If you ever get like that
you may touch them.

But I've
attained old age, momma
so much is out of reach.
