God, I said,

if I feel so lost
when I am in my bed,
how will it be when
I am at the precipice
where there are no roads?

Why do I just feel so much
safer, God, when
I am protecting someone else?

Dear God,
is it valid to feel
danger when I am at the place
where fear
no longer works?
