Salsbury House Express on Main Street (revised)

There are six
circles of light,
emanations of voice.
Even the stranger knows them.
They are variations on
pictures assimilated in
lifetimes, seen more and more
as the years pass.
.
The subtle turns of
mouth are tiny organic
magnets which draw
together level,
unsurprised, deliberate,
interspersed voices.
.
Voices dance within
boundaries never
violated, but laughter
nearly inaudibly
lilts.

There are a few
such temples
in my life. Places
where I can
find the right table
and speech is music.
