The Real Party

They are calm.
They don't fear what could happen.
They stare into each
other's eyes as their mouths
move and the liquid inside
slides. Their eyes could be
moist and they may be angry.
They touch. Fingers slide over
shoulders and hands and faces.
They are not afraid. They don't
run away. They are calm. Both have
arguments--all of them have arguments.
Harm can be done. It may hurt.
They are calm and not afraid.
The breath falls over the faces.
They live in the city.
They go to parties.
