The Consulting Firm

We all get together every week:
the guy who didn't
want to go to school
until he was overtaken
by everyone with inferior smarts,
the guy who studied wrong stuff
abandoned in an empty back lot,
the guy who invented something
whose use nobody ever discovered,
the guy who always
thought outside the box,
the guy who expected
other guys to sell what he had,
the guy who invested
in something that passed.
We meet joyfully
make big plans,
but can't find the one
who gets the clients.
