The Sin of Fantasy

When I talk to you,
stranger, and convince you to share
a world with me,
I do not want all of you.

I will say I know a
secret part of you,
one you may not wish to admit.

If you are plain
or bent with unclassic
family bumps,
I will blur you.

Then I may look your way
with a salesman's knowing smile.
